Wednesday night, May 2nd we said goodbye to Babygirl. Our 13 year old Pit bull that was with our family for over 12 years. A month ago she was diagnosed with tumors in her stomach that spread to her lungs and we were told then that she was basically dying. She seemed ok for the most part but the last few days of her life she was getting pretty bad very quickly. I didn't want her to go alone and we decided to take her to the vets office and have her put to sleep. Carrying her in to the office was one of the hardest things that I've ever done, but at the same time one of the easiest. I knew it was the right thing to do, and almost felt relief that she wasn't in pain. We had a month to say goodbye to her and do all the favorite things she loved doing. She got one last grooming, she got walks and peanut butter as well as other treats and special treatment. She was a good dog, and we will miss her.
